Allison is the Long-Term Care Pharmacy Manager with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. In her role, she supports pharmacy services in personal care homes in the five regions across Manitoba. Allison completed her Master of Health Management from McMaster University in 2022. Sylvia Davidson

Sylvia is an occupational therapist who has been working with older adults for most of her clinical career. She has experience practicing in acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care and community care, with a focus on topics related to aging with an emphasis on dementia care. She also concentrates on the subject of intimacy, both as an element of aging and as part of the journey for people living with dementia and their care partners. Sarah Enzlberger

Sarah Enzlberger is a Registered Nurse who has worked in acute care, Northern community and long-term care settings. She currently works as Resident Care Manager at Misericordia Health Centre. In her role, she supports her team to facilitate care that empowers clients to achieve their optimal health and disposition goals. Her passion is fostering care conversations with clients and their care partners about navigating changing health conditions, future disposition planning and end of life decision making. Dr. Jillian Horton

Dr. Horton is an associate professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Her writings about medicine and medical culture appear regularly in the Los Angeles Times, The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, Maclean’s and a variety of American news outlets by syndication. She is a sought-after speaker and teacher of mindfulness for clinicians, both nationally and internationally. In 2020, she received the Gold Humanism award by the Association of Faculties of Medicine in Canada for her national contributions to compassion in clinical care and her leadership in the field of humanities in medical education. Her first full-length book, We Are All Perfectly Fine: A Memoir of Love, Medicine and Healing, was released by HarperCollins Canada in February 2021 to critical acclaim and is a national bestseller. Dr. Lesley Koven
|
Dr. Koven is Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba. She serves as Geropsychology Lead for Shared Health Manitoba. The focus of her clinical work is on the assessment and treatment of older adults with mental health challenges at St. Boniface Hospital and the Victoria Hospital. She also co-directs the Early Cognitive Change Clinic for Older Adults where she provides consultation to family care partners. She has co-authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on geropsychology topics, including studies examining the experiences of dementia care partners. She also trains psychology residents and graduate students to provide evidence-based psychological services to older adults. Care4u Breakout Session |
Lisa Lloyd-Scott

Lisa has over 30 years of experience as a Social Worker within the acute care, long-term care and community care sector, as both a clinician and clinical manager. She has previously worked at Deer Lodge Centre, Health Sciences Centre – Child and Maternal Health Program and Riverview Health Centre. She has led interprofessional teams that provide care and services to residents, families and support systems impacted by chronic progressive diseases (including dementia). In her experience, she has learned that interprofessional collaboration, conflict resolution and mediation skills come together to create a foundation for resident and family-centered care, where communication and relationship building are key. Marie Michaud

Marie has a degree in Bachelor of Arts and in Social Work and has been working with Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for over twelve years in Home Care and Long-Term Care. She currently works as Clinical Team Leader and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Long-Term Care Access Centre, including the continuum of clinical services and assessment for eligibility and placement into long-term care facilities. She has played a key role in the development and implementation of the Community Navigator for the Long-Term Care program and is passionate about system transformation, collaboration and focus on providing high quality patient-centered care. He currently works as Clinical Team Leader at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Long-Term Care Access Centre and is responsible for overseeing the program's day-to-day operations.
